Dr. Manuela Francesca Russo – Provisional Psychologist (bilingual in Italian & English) (she/her)
Dr Manuela is a Provisional Psychologist who provides a compassionate and supportive environment for clients across the lifespan. She strives to create a warm, neuro-affirming, and safe space to lay the foundations for a strong therapeutic relationship and build a nurturing space using a person-centered approach.

Dr Manuela is available for weekday appointments at Child & Family Matters or via telehealth. She offers psychological services in English and Italian.

Dr Manuela completed a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Psychology and Psychobiology and a Master of Science in Neuroscience and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation at University of Padua, Italy. She continued her studies in Brisbane at Queensland University of Technology where she completed a PhD in cognitive neuroscience and a postdoctoral fellowship working in a clinical trial on Parkinson’s disease.
Dr Manuela is committed to deliver the best quality of care and has accrued significant clinical experience delivering a range of therapeutic interventions. She utilises Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Behavioural Activation, and Motivational Interviewing techniques to support her clients.
Dr Manuela has a keen interest in diagnostic and clinical assessments of neurodivergence, as well as neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diagnoses. She has availability for low cost assessments.
Josie Sinnamon – Family & Parenting Specialist (she/her)
Josie is passionate about all aspects of family and parenting. She holds a Master of Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Child, Youth, and Family Therapy, and a Bachelor of Health Science (Hons) in Public Health. Her specialty lies in child development, behaviour, parenting, and post-separation parenting support.

Josie works with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and families, using an attachment-based, trauma-informed, and neuro-affirming approach. She believes that the parent-child relationship is the most crucial foundation for good mental health throughout life.
Josie develops and facilitates therapeutic parenting programs for common issues such as behaviour challenges, neurodevelopmental concerns (e.g., fussy eating, PDA, physical and verbal aggression), attunement, emotional coaching, emotional regulation, and post-separation parent-child relationship support.
She also supports children and adults within the NDIS, helping them achieve their life goals and independence. This includes working with individuals with neurodevelopmental and psychosocial diagnoses.
Josie utilizes various modalities, including:
- family systems therapy
- play therapy
- interpersonal neurobiology
- polyvagal theory
- individual and small group-based psychotherapy
- Circle of Security (small groups or on an individual basis)

Deb is an enthusiastic and committed Clinical Psychologist who has a warm, accepting, and engaging manner. Her therapeutic style is open and flexible, and she aims to create a nurturing, growth-conducive environment for each-and-every individual she works with. Sharyn holds a Master of Social Work (Research) and a Bachelor of Social Work (Hons) from The University of Queensland. Her compassionate and systemic approach makes her a vital part of our mission to support the well-being of children, young people, and their families.
Dr. Latika Sadashiv – Director of Child & Family Matters (she/her)
Dr. Latika Sadashiv has worked with family systems and attachment disruptions as a therapeutic practitioner since 2005. She is an AHPRA registered Counselling & Clinical Psychologist who offers expertise in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia as a Single Expert. Her clinical expertise is in trauma processing, attachment and relational disruption, psychological safety in relationships, and neurodivergence.
