Group Supervision with Dr. Latika Sadashiv
Professional supervision is an essential part of practice for mental health professionals, report writers, and psychologists. It provides a structured, reflective space to enhance clinical skills, navigate ethical challenges, and ensure professional growth. Supervision helps practitioners refine their expertise, address complex cases, and stay aligned with industry standards, fostering both confidence and resilience. For report writers and psychologists, it also ensures assessments and documentation maintain the highest levels of accuracy and care.
Our Clinic offers two dedicated online group supervision options. One group supports early career clinicians, including Registrars working toward Clinical or Counselling Psychology endorsement and practitioners with less than seven years of experience. The second group caters to mid-career clinicians with seven to twenty years in practice, offering a space for advanced reflection and skill-building. Both groups are facilitated to promote collaboration, professional insight, and meaningful development.

Stabilisation Group commencing February 2025
Our Stabilisation program is a six-week group program specifically created for young adults. It focuses on the distress tolerance and mindfulness skills of Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), equipping participants with tools to manage intense emotions, navigate challenging situations, and stay present. Each 1.5-hour group session takes place on Tuesday afternoons, providing a supportive environment to learn and practice Stabilisation skills. While the program focuses on group skills training, we emphasize the importance of working with a Psychologist for individual therapy to deepen learning and address personal challenges. Participants are welcome to enquire with the Clinic about upcoming availability or to receive assistance in finding a Psychologist who is a good fit.
Our Stabilisation Group is DBT informed; a powerful, evidence-based approach designed to help individuals who struggle with intense emotions, impulsive behaviors, and challenges in relationships. Originally developed to treat borderline personality disorder, DBT has evolved to support adolescents and adults dealing with a wide range of emotional and behavioral difficulties. At its core, DBT combines acceptance and change, teaching skills to better regulate emotions, tolerate distress, improve interpersonal interactions, and live more mindfully.
