Beci Olner – Parenting Specialist & Senior Clinician

She has post-graduate training in family therapy, is a Circle of Security (COS) accredited facilitator and is a trainer in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, Triple P Parenting programs, Non Violent Resistance (NVR) program, Parenting Under Pressure (PUP) intervention. As you may be able to tell by her numerous training titles, she is a Parenting Specialist!
Beci has a warm and down-to-earth manner. Given her vast experience, she knows how to listen intently and seeks to understand what makes a family thrive and survive. Beci’s experience, training and compassionate manner makes it easy for parents to talk about their vulnerabilities with parenting. Sometimes the parent-child relationship is vulnerable to discord when there is marital conflict, family violence, chronic poverty and inter-generational trauma. Beci works from attachment and child-focused frameworks to support parent-child relationships. She offers individual counselling with parents and adult caregivers by evaluating the strengths and areas requiring support in the parent-child relationship. Beci is the Senior Clinician who runs parenting groups and trains other clinicians in group therapy.
Jo Tan – Counsellor (Bilingual in Mandarin and English)
Jo is our meditation and mindfulness in-house expert. She is an experienced and compassionate counsellor dedicated to helping individuals overcome challenges faced in life. She works towards holistic wellbeing. To that end, Jo offers genuine care, active listening, and a deep understanding of individual needs.

She has worked within in-patient and out-patient psychiatric care, and understands the debilitating nature of acute mental health. Jo’s strengths are her capacity to recognise each person as unique, and accordingly tailor her therapeutic approach. She models mindfulness, empowering individuals to find their inner strength and wisdom. She fosters holistic wellbeing for her clients in a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic space.
As a bilingual therapist, Jo offers counselling services in English or Mandarin/Chinese. Jo’s practice of cultural sensitivity, understanding and effective communication helps individuals feel heard and understood. Jo works with all ages.
Jo is experienced working with trauma, mental health concerns, adjustment to lifestyle changes, and relationship struggles. She is skilled in both individual and group-based treatment, offering mindfulness, counselling and distress tolerance strategies. Jo offers Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) based skills training, Play Therapy, as well as stabilisation skills necessary prior to commencing EMDR treatment. She offers mindfulness in nature, in her “Walk and Talk” approach. She is also able to work with self-funded NDIS patients and Work Cover referrals. Jo is a clinical member of Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and member of International Meditation Teachers and Therapists Association (IMTTA).

Rue is a Criminology and Human Services graduate undertaking a Bridging Diploma into Psychology. Rue has a deep interest in understanding human behaviour, bringing analytical skills, empathy, and a passion for helping clients overcome challenges and grow personally.

Dr. Latika Sadashiv – Director Child & Family Matters
Dr. Latika works therapeutically in the family law space. She is an accredited Family Dispute Resolution practitioner, offering mediation to assist families to resolve their matters outside of Court.

As an endorsed Counselling and Clinical Psychologist and EMDR Practitioner, she works with developmental and complex trauma presentations. She provides EMDR therapy to both children and adults. Dr. Latika also offers clinical assessment of neurodivergence for both children and adults. As a STAP accredited Supervisor, Latika supervises early and mid-career clinicians. She is passionate about supporting fellow therapists in their therapeutic journey and offers therapy for therapists.
