Counselling and psychology services

Therapeutic support for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Providing a warm space to explore your emotions

Life can become overwhelming. Children may struggle to express big feelings, parents may feel stuck in conflict or distress, and family members may carry the weight of trauma, isolation, or burnout. No matter your age or background, we can all use a helping hand when times get tough.

Counselling and psychological support offer a safe place to explore these experiences with compassion and clarity. Whether you are looking for help understanding your emotions, healing from a traumatic experience, or navigating a stressful period such as separation, we aim to support you with the care you deserve.

Every family experiences moments of change or overwhelm at times. Whatever brings you here, we aim to help:

Children and teenagers

The developmental years can be difficult at times, especially for young people dealing with behavioural, social, or emotional challenges.

Parents

Regardless of your family dynamics, parents and caregivers deserve support and guidance so nobody has to work through their problems alone.

Families

Families often benefit from help adjusting to changes after separation or conflict.

Depending on your needs, you may benefit from:

Play therapy

Play is a child’s natural language. Play therapy is designed to create a developmentally appropriate space where children have the ability to express their feelings, explore experiences, and build emotional regulation through connection.

Relationship counselling and family therapy

Families are living systems, and when one person is struggling, everybody feels the ripple effect. Whether court-ordered or of your own choosing, family therapy aims to help you manage conflict and communication challenges that affect how your family functions.

EMDR treatment

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-informed treatment option that aims to support healing from distressing memories. By helping the brain process overwhelming experiences, EMDR aims to reduce emotional reactivity and support your sense of safety.

Corporate well-being services

Regardless of the field you are in, organisations of all sizes may need outside support to improve their workplace culture. Our corporate well-being services are designed for teams looking to strengthen their communication skills.

Therapy for therapists

Therapists often carry significant emotional loads. Our therapy for therapists service offers a confidential, supportive space for clinicians to process their own experiences, address or potentially prevent burnout, and reconnect with their professional identity by honouring the person behind the practitioner.

Supervision

We provide supervision for provisional and early-career psychologists and other mental health practitioners as they develop their skills. As a STAP-accredited supervisor, Dr Latika Sadashiv offers reflective guidance that supports clinical growth and practitioner well-being.

Group therapy

Whether you are currently in individual therapy or not, if you feel stuck or isolated, group therapy offers connection in a safe space. Here, our small groups (maximum of 8) provide a supportive environment where you can come as you are, interact however comes naturally to you, and work through your concerns at your pace, knowing there are people who understand. Mediation and child-inclusive mediation

Mediation is an informal process designed to assist parents to resolve issues between them. Following separation, differing perspectives may arise regarding shared parenting responsibilities. These differences may include the allocation of time with each parent, disciplinary strategies, or decisions about education and care arrangements. Mediation facilitates the resolution of such disputes, enabling parents to reach mutually acceptable agreements concerning child arrangements by prioritising the best interests of their children.

Have a question about counselling and psychology?

What is the process of family therapy?

If you are assessed as suitable for engaging in family therapy, you will receive a treatment plan with six appointments scheduled in advance. Family therapy starts with separate intake sessions for each parent or caregiver, followed by child sessions where appropriate. Depending on your goals, your sessions will be structured around aspects like communication, safety, and building trust.

What is the process of seeing a child?

Before meeting a child, we meet with their legal guardian or guardians to help us understand their world and ensure everybody is informed and supportive of the process. If the parents are separated, we can have separate intakes for each parent. We can only go ahead with consent from both guardians, and we cannot work with a child if one parent wishes to exclude the other.

Do you work with the parents when working with children?

Yes. Parents are involved in the therapy process in varying degrees depending on the child’s needs. Your clinician will guide you on when parent sessions or check-ins may be helpful. We give children clear, age-appropriate explanations of confidentiality and its limits, ensuring they feel safe and understand what to expect.
