Insights to support you in the way you deserve

Assessments aim to provide clarity, direction, and a path forward. If you have concerns about learning, behaviour, attention, emotional regulation, or developmental differences, there is a wide range of assessments that may help you find answers. With respectful, neuro-affirming assessments grounded in evidence, our team at Child & Family Matters is here to support you.

Have a question about assessments?

Is there a waitlist for ADHD and autism assessments?

We currently have availability, offering you timely pathways to assessment.

What is the process?

The clinician will meet with each participant individually to gather relevant information from schools and family members.

What happens if I need more than one observation?

If you require multiple observations, this can be arranged. Additional observations do not increase the fee.

How soon will my report be available?

Reports for both single- and two-person assessments will typically be available four weeks after the interview.

What happens afterwards?

If you or your child needs support following the assessment, we aim to provide follow-up care. This may include understanding diagnoses, navigating accommodations, working through issues at home or school, or accessing ongoing psychological support. Above all, we aim to ensure you and your family feel supported beyond the assessment itself.

How much does an assessment cost?

This will vary depending on the type of assessment you’re looking at. You can visit our Fees & FAQs page for specific information.
